Roof Long-Term Maintenance

Unlike other roof styles, green roofs may require additional long-term maintenance due to its vegetative state. Because of this, Pyramid Roofing makes it a priority to walk their clients through every step of green roof care, including follow-up inspections and maintenance routines. As an added convenience, we also offer a wide variety of extended warranties for homeowners to choose from as well.

Out of the two styles of green roofs available, intensive green roofs typically require more maintenance than extensive green roofs due to their increased weight and deeper-concentrated plant roots. Such maintenance on these styles of roofs would include routine inspection of the roof membrane as well as the drainage layer flow paths.

Both styles of green roofs require initial watering and fertilization beginning from the moment they are installed and continuing at least until the plants have fully established themselves.
